Worst / Best Characters

Who are your favorite and least favorite characters in the Doll series?

Cathy is of course my favorite character. I think of her as being very beautiful, and I love the fact that she is a dancer. She does seem too vengeful at times though.

My least favorite character is Julian. I couldn't stand any part of the book that he was in, though I loved Jory.

I actually didn't like Cathy that much. She was so three dimensional though, and VCA did a terrific job with creating a character you could relate to but still dislike. She was just too vengeful for my taste.

I liked Carrie and Jorry, and my least favorite character was the grandfather.

I didn't like Cathy too much either, and yet I kept hoping things would get better for her. I didn't like Chris too much. I didn't mind him in Flowers in The Attic but in the next books it irritated me how he couldn't get over his sister. He made her feel guilty for loving other men.

I liked Carrie a lot and kept hoping she would find someone and marry them. I wish she hadn't committed suicide and had married Alex.

I liked Carrie too, and while I thought Cathy was really annoying in how selfish she seemed to be, I always kind of identified with her.
